Details

Trek designer Gary Fisher made his name through innovation and by dialing in frame geometry to create a ride like no other, and that ride is what Trek's Cronus is all about. It's a full-carbon rocket with an incredibly light 900-gram frame (56cm) and Trek's FCC front end and BB90 bottom bracket. Combined with the carbon, these give you outstanding efficiency and handling, while still offering comfort enough for a century. This fine bike also has clearance for up to 28c tires and even hidden fender mounts so you can race this beauty and also commute on it all-year long. In the components department, you'll love the great braking and shifting Shimano 105 parts, the sleek Bontrager Race wheels and the host of other Bontrager goodies.

The geometry chart for Trek's Cronus.

This manufacturer's chart helps you check the fit (may show unavailable, and/or not all sizes).

Trek's Cronus features a unique bottom bracket (image, right) that's 90mm wide (traditional ones are 68mm wide). This wide bottom bracket lets Trek build the frame with larger tubes for increased power transfer. Plus, the 90mm bottom bracket is machined so that the bearings can be placed directly into the frame (image) saving weight (due to fewer parts), ensuring additional pedaling efficiency and simplifying maintenance and repair.
